ESTHETICS AND FUNCTION IN EVERYDAY PRACTICE

Summary:
Today we are faced with and ever increasing complexity in esthetic dentistry. 
With our aging demographic more people present with esthetic, functional and occlusal problems that require extensive treatment.  Furthermore, dentists are faced with an ever-changing selection of materials, procedures and requests from patients. At the heart of all this is what is most ideal for your patients.  This lecture will review options for treating many of the challenges we encounter in everyday practice, including materials, esthetics, occlusion, function and comprehensive care.  
Educational Objectives:
Learn how to treatment simple and complex restorative cases
Learn practical concepts on staging treatment to allow for comprehensive work to be done at the patient’s pace and budget.
Learn how proper pre-prosthetic planning can lead to long term stability while utilizing conservative and minimally invasive procedures
Learn practical restorative techniques to simplify the restoration of your cases
Learn to evaluate various materials so as to select the most appropriate for each situation
Personal Biography:
Paresh Shah, DMD, MS, FAGD maintains a private practice in Winnipeg, MB focusing on implant, cosmetic and interdisciplinary care.  He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1991 and a proficiency certificate in Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Buffalo (SUNY) in 2007.  He has completed levels I and II of the Postgraduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Minnesota and has been a clinical mentor for the same program since 2002.  Dr. Shah is also a part time instructor at the University of Manitoba.  He is a founding member with the Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry (CAED) and a member of the Council for Innovative Dentistry (3M ESPE).
